The following settings should be observed during file creation:

Vector Cutting

In Illustrator:

  1. Create a document sized at 32″ x 18″ in RGB color mode.
  2. All cut lines should be set to true RGB Red.  In the color picker, simply set R to “255″, G to “0″, and B to “0″.
  3. All cut lines should be sized to .001 pt.  This is considered a hairline width and allows the laser to focus its power to the extent that it will pass through acceptable material.
  4. The file can be exported as a high quality PDF, or printed directly from Illustrator.

Engraving
